From her book, Raw Food, Real World, ”I feel like I have a very clear understanding now of what my body needs and craves–some days I eat very little, some days much more. At times I can’t get enough salad, wanting to eat bowlful after bowlful, while other days I’m not that interested and eat more fruit or I’ll have some of the more complex dishes from our restaurant. I honestly don’t crave processed sugary food ever. What I do crave from time to time is raw cookies and ice creams, and I love that I can eat those whenever I want and not gain weight. All of the anxiety and guilt I used to associate with eating is gone, so in addition to being lighter physically, I feel lighter emotionally.
