  • Hej Elina,Glad you crossed over to the raw world  Love it! Quinoa can be cooked, but it can also soaked for 7 hours. It absorbs the water and comes out like you are used to… This way you are not destroying any nutrients. I prefer red quinoa.Sounds like you are looking for heavier food, but still want to eat raw? I really suggest adding natural fats to your salad like avocados, walnuts, raw cashews, almonds, hemp seeds, raw falafel, raw flaxseeds, etc. I am not big on beans, since they can give gas and are tough on digestion. I do like chickpeas & hummus. Don’t worry about the calories, your focus should be on listening to your body and it’s “real” needs. If you do that, the body will naturally land at the perfect weight. You might think you need all this food, but really the human body likes simple meals that gives you lots of energy and is easy for your system to digest. Easy in. easy out! I recommend all cookbooks from Erica Palmcrantz and this one… the author is Swedish but lives in Naples, FL. http://www.amazon.com/Healthful-Cuisine-Accessing-Lifeforce-Through/dp/0977130940Try Renee Voltaire’s products! They can be ordered online. Good luck!!Filippa

  • Hi there! Thank’s a lot for a lovely blog! Such a inspiration for my new raw life :)I would love if you could help me out answering my following questions! – First of all, Isn’t Quinoa cooked? What quinoa type do you recommend? – Which are the top 3 healthiest alternatives to eat with your salad (beans, linsen, guinoa…?) – Quinos, chickbeans, whitebeans, red linsen- which one is containing the lowest amount of calories? For the late evening dinners and those days you wanna slim it up a bit :)- If you would recommend two vegan/raw cookbooks in swedish, which ones should you chose? Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
